Would you recommend someone to take the same programs at the same colleges you went to?
No.
Central Lakes College no longer offers Computer Science department. In addition computer technology classes changed.
College of St. Scholastica no longer offers Computer Science / Information Systems in Brainerd MN – it does still exist in Duluth and other locations.
So I’m not saying it was a bad thing, It just is not available.
The AA transfer program at Central Lakes College may be a good option though if you are in the area.

What the beep?
Q: I just either moved my computer or opened it and then it beeps when I try to turn it on and it continues to beep. What is that beep?
A: It is part of the POST (Power On Self Test) that tells you that something is not working right and most likely that is a problem with the memory. Most likely the memory needs to be reseated (taken out and then put back securely, sometimes they may need to be swapped with a different module). (there is nothing wrong with the tiny speaker that is beeping)

On-Site Help
All on-site help now requires Routine Customized Services, and is only available currently in the cities of Brainerd and Baxter. It is primarily for business, however we may allow previous customer for home users. In the future we may possibly pre-screened home customers but it is not currently offered. This is mainly since there are safety concerns with driving, as well as some business customers not understanding what we do and not paying right away. There is also a safety issue with some homes, such as smoking or pets and other issues.

Being proactive. It’s not just the word that is used for a name brand face wash. It means being prepared. It means being forefront. It means taking action before bad things happen or before things become worse.
I really do not like the “If it Ain’t broke don’t fix it.” approach. Often times those people ignore what is actually broken.
I’m not a kid anymore and no longer part of the organization, but I still like the motto of 4-H “To make the best better.”
Bringing this approach to technology, you want to take preventative and proactive action.
- Do routine maintenance on computers.
- keep them out of dust.
- research products that can help your business or life.
- be aware of product recalls.
- be aware of your warranty options.
- take advantage of the technology you already have.
- back up your data routinely on and off-site.
- Have a disaster plan.

Don't Forget that WiFi Button
If your Wifi Wireless network connection stops working don’t forget about the physical WiFi button or switch that is on some computer notebooks / laptops, that turns the Wireless Network Interface Card’s radio on and off.
It is counter intuitive these days since software controls so many things these days.
